DiscMaster + - Designed for hard conditions

Multiva disc cultivators represent the finest in cultivation techniques, designed in the heart of the clay fields of the south-western Finland. The disc cultivator models are designed for demanding and varying cultivating conditions to meet the needs of modern farms.

The development of Multiva disc cultivators has concentrated on suitability for all conditions and soils. In Finland, the basic cultivation conditions may vary wildly from year to year. Well-thought-out and tested details enable the capability of the cultivator to be improved significantly under extreme conditions. Special attention has also been paid to durability. The unique structural solutions of Multiva disc cultivators, such as their strong frame, sprung disc arms and tight, maintenance-free disc bearings, make the cultivator a durable tool for years to come.

The use of a disc cultivator is easy and efficient. Straws can be earthed with a very shallow cultivation depth. In addition, a disc cultivator operates well at high speeds, which makes it the most cost-efficient solution for primary tillage.

Perfectly suited to spring cultivation

A Multiva disc cultivator is also perfectly adapted for stubble cultivation in the spring. After disc cultivation, secondary tillage can be done using a harrow with spring tines or the disc-cultivated soil can be sown directly.

Good earthing with shallow cultivation

With a Multiva disc cultivator, efficient earthing is accomplished with a working depth of just a few centimetres thanks to its aggressive disc angle and rigid springs. It is unquestionably the best solution for stubble cultivation in the spring. A Multiva disc cultivator maintains its adjusted working depth more accurately thanks to its large discs, and it produces a finer soil structure than a standard cultivator, for example.

User experience

Dustin Collin with his father farms over 80 hectares of hard clay and clay loam in Ormstown Québec, Canada. The farm is in the process of being transferred to organic and it produces corn, soybeans and wheat. Above that Dustin and his father also do custom baling and wrapping.  

The DiscMaster 5000 was used for first time on a farm in the spring 2015. Dustin and his father were very pleased to the way it trails in the field. They like the way the wheel lifting and towing mechanism is made compared to other machines on the market.  “The machine is heavily built and it does not bounce even at high speed”, they conclude.    

In august 2015 Dustin harvested a wheat field which was seeded down to red clover.   He waited until October to pass the DiscMaster and close to 60 percent of the clover was incorporated in 10 to 14 centimeters of worked ground in one pass.     “I recommend this machine to anyone looking for a machine that is heavily built for usage in heavy soils.”, says Dustin being very satisfied to his DiscMaster 5000.

DiscMaster - Affordable and agile mounted cultivator

The mounted Multiva DiscMaster+ is an efficient stubble cultivator for medium-sized tractors and farms. The open structure and high frame clearance make it a clog-proof cultivator. The Multiva DiscMaster+ is, in fact, very suitable for earthing large amounts of plant residue, such as autumn wheat or even corn stubble.

Quick and efficient cultivation

Disc cultivators are capable of cultivating large areas quickly. Their high work achievement facilitates, for example, manure earthing. This way, valuable nutrients can be mixed to soil and utilised by the plants. DiscMaster+ can be used at a very shallow cultivation depth.


Customisable product

The mounted DiscMaster+ is easy to adapt with accessories to be a semi-trailed cultivator, upgrading the machine's functionality significantly. The rear axle weight of the tractor is significantly reduced during headland turns compared to a mounted machine. A towed machine is also smoother to transport on the road. The cultivator can also be fitted with a small seed sowing machine. The highly modifiable cultivator can also be fitted with different types of rollers (disk or tube rollers). Semi-towed models are always attached to the tractor’s lower link arms.

For disc roller models, a sub frame and separate transportation wheels are installed in addition to the drawbar. A disc roller model is best suited to firm and heavy soils. A plate crusher cultivates the soil flat while still leaving it sufficiently loose. A disc roller also presses the straws efficiently into the ground.

DiscMaster+ - towed models

A towed Multiva DiscMaster+ is an efficient stubble cultivator for large fields. The towed models have two sections which are moved into the transportation position hydraulically. The disc roller is divided into three parts. Thanks to this design, the transportation wheels can be placed between the cultivation discs and the roller. This unique design gives the cultivator more agility when turning and allows it to run very steadily on the field. The cultivator’s sturdy structure and heavy weight also contribute to its steady running. The disc technology is the same as in mounted models. Towed models are attached to the tractor’s towing hook.

Aggressive mixing of soil

The vertical tilt angle of the discs is receiving, which drives the discs towards the soil and achieves good mixing effect. This way, the soil is loosened and turned even in poor conditions, and the aggressive discs cultivate the plant residue efficiently.

The heavily cultivating discs operate very well at a wide range of speeds.




Sturdy structure

The Multiva DiscMaster+ disc cultivators feature a tubular beam frame with high torsional strength. The Double Grade steel combined with the sturdy design guarantee a long service life.



Headland turns

Headland turns driving forward may be completed either with the cultivator supported on transportation wheels or on the rear roller. The cultivator may only be driven backwards when supported by the transportation wheels. When leaving the field for the road, the separate transportation wheels prevent mud from being carried onto the road.

Practical working depth adjustment

The working depth of all Multiva disc cultivators is easily and securely adjusted by changing the thickness and number of the working depth cylinder adjustment blocks.



Reliable rear packing roller

The dense crusher plates of the disc roller produce a flat ground and press the straws efficiently into the ground. The solid and smooth sides of the discs prevent clay and straws from sticking to the discs. The toothed discs also make rolling more efficient.




Practical disc roller -scraper

The disc roller scraper can easily and quickly be opened for cleaning. The scrapers can also be adjusted to two different positions depending on the dampness of the soil.





Efficient earthing

Bearing labyrinth seal

As the result of stringent product testing, theDiscMaster+ features pivots containing bearings
with labyrinth seals.

During testing, the labyrinth seal has been found to keep the bearings free of debris, guaranteeing an extremely long life cycle.
