Durable body from special steel

All Multiva trailers have the same torsionally rigid frame construction based on the Ruukki Double grade special steel and tubular bar structure. Strong frame construction, sturdy bogey, and robust body prevent the trailer from twisting during tipping. Low height, together with a wide track width, make the trailer even more stable.
In the development of Multiva trailer bodies, the benefits of high-quality special steels have been utilized to ensure the strongest possible body structure. Robotic welding, special steels, and large thicknesses ensure a long lifetime and exceptional durability.

The body sheets of HD trailers are made of Hardox steel that offers three times the yield strength and multiple times the durability of the regular S355 (Fe52) steel, which is typically used on trailer bodies.  The robot welded Double Grade special steel used in the chassis further enhances the trailer’s sturdiness.

Hardox wear steel is used in the body plates of Multiva TRM and TRM HD earthmoving trailers. Hardox steel offers three times the yield strength and multiple times the durability of the regular S355 steel. The high yield strength of the wear quality Hardox steel allows even hard impacts on the body without permanent deformations. For example, the 6 mm Hardox bottom plate of Multiva TRM HD has the same strength as a 18 mm thick normal S355 steel bottom.
